Background
Datharm Foundation is implementing the Save the Children International (SCI) Immunisation Accelerator Project, funded by GSK, to reduce Zero-Dose (ZD) children and strengthen immunisation service delivery, thereby improving immunisation outcomes in Jigawa State. As part of project monitoring, learning, and evidence generation activities, Datharm Foundation seeks to engage qualified and experienced Research Assistants/Enumerators to support a two-week field data collection exercise across selected LGAs in Jigawa State.

Objectives of the Assignment
The Research Assistants/Enumerators will support the collection of high-quality quantitative and qualitative data from communities, health facilities, caregivers, health workers, and other relevant stakeholders in the project implementation areas.

Scope of Work
The selected Enumerators will:
• Participate in mandatory training and orientation sessions.
• Conduct household, facility, and stakeholder interviews using approved data collection tools.
• Administer questionnaires using electronic data collection platforms where applicable.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely collection of data.
• Adhere to ethical principles and confidentiality requirements.
• Submit completed questionnaires and field reports daily.
• Work closely with supervisors and project staff throughout the exercise.
• Report challenges encountered during fieldwork promptly.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualification: Applicants must possess at least a First Degree (B.Sc., B.NSc., BMLS,
MBBS, Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, Health Education, Epidemiology, Statistics,
Social Sciences, or other related disciplines).

Experience and Skills
• Demonstrated experience as a Research Assistant, Data Collector, or Enumerator.
• Previous participation in health-related surveys, assessments, research studies, or immunisation-related projects will be an added advantage.
• Experience using electronic data collection tools (ODK, KoboCollect, SurveyCTO, REDCap, etc.) is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak and understand Hausa language fluently.
• Familiarity with the local terrain within the project LGAs is highly desirable.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.

Duration of Assignment: The assignment will be for approximately two (2) weeks, including training and field data collection activities.

Reporting Line: The Enumerators will report directly to the Field Supervisor and Project
Coordinator designated by the University of Ilorin Research Team and Datharm Foundation.
